Hair — Important Details
Girls: Sadochok, Beginner & Junior

French braid in two braids.

Braids should be tucked neatly at the nape of the neck.

No loose bangs.
-
If hair is too short to braid, pin it securely and use hairspray.

Hairnet required.
Girls: Intermediate, Tavrianka, Academy & Ensemble

Tight, slicked-down low bun.

Hairnet required.

Some Academy and Ensemble costumes may require a braided ponytail extension. This should match thier own hair. It needs to be long enough to pin to the costume belt. We do not pin into the blouses or vests.
Boys: All Classes

Hair neatly combed

Long hair must be tied back

Hair should be secure and not bounce or fall into the face
Makeup — Important Details
Girls: All Classes
Eyes

Brown shimmer shadow on the lower to middle part of the lid

Foundation & Contour
Girls: Required for Intermediate, Tavrianka, Academy & Ensemble

Tavrianka, Academy & Ensemble: False lashes — longer than natural, but not extreme.
Jewelry & Nails
These rules apply to all dancers.
Jewelry
No jewelry is permitted on stage.
Please remove earrings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, rings, etc.
Nails

No coloured nail polish.

Coloured polish/enhancements must be removed before the performance.

Nude or beige polish is permitted with instructor approval.
New Piercings
New piercings are discouraged before/during festival/performance season.
If a new piercing is unavoidable, piercings must be covered with Band-Aids during performances. Please speak with the instructor ahead of time.
